Dr. Sherifa Iqbal

Sherifa Iqbal MD, MPH, MBA, PMH-C, DFAPA, FASAM joined Greenbrook Mental Wellness Centers in 2026 at our Richmond Heights location. She received her medical degree from the six-year MD/BA program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. She completed her psychiatric residency training at St. Louis University, where she also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Iqbal is board certified in both psychiatry and addiction medicine and has additional certification in perinatal mental health. She has worked in a variety of settings since 2006, including private practice and community mental health. She has also been involved in patient and physician advocacy, having served as the president of the Missouri Psychiatric Physicians Association, on the Missouri Federation of Behavioral Health Advocates, and in the National Assembly of the American Psychiatric Association.
