Dr. Elle Cleaves

Psychiatrist

Dr. Elle Sowa Cleaves is a board-certified general psychiatrist. Dr. Cleaves earned her medical degree from University of Virginia where she served as president of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society chapter. She then completed her psychiatry residency at the University of Texas Health San Antonio (a combined civilian-Air Force residency program) in 2017 where she served as chief resident. She is an Air Force veteran and served as the Medical Director of the Mental Health Flight in the 87th Operational Medical Readiness Squadron at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey from 2017-2021 and as the Psychiatry Clerkship Director at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland from 2021-2025. She is a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
