Coleen has a passion to break the stigma that often comes with a mental health diagnosis Now as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner she aspires to empower people with mental illness to be their best advocates. She believes that this can be done

through education, self-awareness, accountability, and encouragement. Coleen feels that by doing this, clients will become more educated on their mental health, learn how to successfully manage it, work collaboratively with their providers, and no longer see mental illness as something that one should be ashamed of.
