Dr. Rebecca Maxwell received her Undergraduate at UT Austin, TX in 1993 with highest honors and was a Phi Beta Kappa. She received her M.D. at Baylor College of Medicine in 2000 and completed her Psychiatry Residency Menninger Department of Psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine in 2004. She achieved an Outstanding Resident Teacher Award
in 2004. She has a special DEA Certificate for prescribing Buprenorphine (Suboxone), 2008, completed 60 hours of CME in Mind-Body Medicine by the Center for Mind-Body Medicine. She has completed training in Functional Medicine by the Institute for Functional Medicine and is Board Certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine, 2010 and Board Certified by ABPN (American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology), 2014. Dr. Maxwell completed a two year fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona. In her practice, she strives to uncover lifestyle and other underlying contributors to illness, and uses a combination of conventional and complimentary approaches to help her patients achieve wellness.
